Product Description

Controllable Gas Spring (also known as Lockable Gas Spring) is a specialized type of gas spring equipped with a control release mechanism (such as cable control, push button, or lever), based on the structure of a standard gas spring. It features the ability to lock at any position along its stroke.

It can be instantly locked at any point of the stroke and resume smooth movement once released. The locking state is typically categorized into rigid locking and elastic locking.

Core structure of controllable gas spring

The piston rod is hollow in the middle, with a control spindle running through its interior.

A specially designed locking valve mechanism is installed between the cylinder body and the guide bushing.

The control spindle moves to open or close the valve via an external release device (such as cable control button, foot pedal, or knob).

When the valve is opened → the gas spring can extend and retract;
When the valve is closed → the gas spring locks at the current position (bearing load).
